What is FuturePathways?
FuturePathways is the Denver based “life coaching”
team of Gail benEzra and Marilyn Winokur. They are transition experts.
Using both formal group workshops and individual, personalized coaching
sessions, FuturePathways helps people stuck in transitions related to
business, personal growth or relationships get unstuck. Their mission
is to help people create meaningful lives they are eager to live.
What is a life coach? Football coaches help make stars of
talented quarterbacks. Chess coaches help make chess champions. Opera
coaches help make divine divas. Life coaches are like personal trainers
for the spirit. They are listeners, facilitators, translators, reality
testers, and cheerleaders. They are teachers, guides, strategic planners,
and creative thinkers. They can be a sounding board or a Board of Directors.
In the post-September 11 world, more and more people are
searching for meaning in their lives. Gail benEzra and Marilyn Winokur
are not therapists, but what they do is definitely therapeutic. They help
clients use their talents, skills, and experience to create a new vision
for the next phase of their lives.
Unlike other life coaches who often provide services over
the phone, Future Pathways specializes in individualized, face to faceservices
based on what the client wants to accomplish. Typical clients include:
- 30- and 40-somethings who want to take control of their lives, map their future and develop the skills to achieve their plans.
- Baby boomers who know the old model for aging won’t
work for them and are eager to develop a new personal model for conscious
aging based on wisdom and leaving a meaningful legacy
- People in mid-life who know they want to make a change
even if they don’t know what that change is
- Small business entrepreneurs and professionals interested
in taking their business to a new level
FuturePathways uses a team approach and a series of proven
exercises to identify each person’s unique set of characteristic
values, strengths, weaknesses, interests, desires and goals. They help
clients envision new possibilities, remove roadblocks, set priorities,
make choices, develop strategies, and achieve their goals.
Following each coaching session, clients receive a recap
of the session which helps them remember their insights and track their
progress. The recap also contains between-session assignments.
For people interested in what coaching has to offer them,
FuturePathways provides a complimentary 45 minute session. In this meeting,
prospective clients get an idea of how coaching works and whether it is
a fit for them.
